David A. Winslow

David A. Winslow is currently the Senior Vice President, Technical Services for Universal Orlando Resort. David received his Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Civil Engineering with a minor in Ocean Engineering from Purdue University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Florida. His career started at Perry Submarine Builders/Lockheed Martin in Riviera Beach, Florida. At Perry, David was the project engineer for submersibles, dive systems and remotely operated vehicles including the Royal Navy 20,000-foot-deep Towed Unmanned Submersible. In 1992, David joined Universal Orlando where he was Technical Director for Earthquake, King Kong, Animal Actors Live, Men in Black and Twister as well as Project Director for The Revenge of the Mummy. While David managed Technical Services Ride and Show Engineering, he formed the Universal Orlando Green Council which is an ongoing effort that focuses on Biofuels, Alternative Energy, Conservation, Green Procurement, Recycling, Green Construction, Water Conservation, Employee and Public Awareness. Currently, David manages the Technical Services maintenance department that includes Ride and Show, Engineering, Facilities, Horticulture and Utility procurement.
