Research Focus:

Mr. Maytrott is the Quality Manager for FSEC, responsible for the Center's Solar Thermal and Photovoltaics Testing Laboratories' accreditation to A2LA, IAPMO, PowerMark and ISO/IEC 17025:2005 requirements. He is also the Solar Thermal Collector Test Group's lead Instrumentation Network Engineer, responsible for reconfigureable and distributed RS-232 and RS-485 electronic Data Acquisition Systems. Mr. Maytrott is also the lead engineer in charge of the Center's Continuous-Duty, Large-Area Solar Simulator. He has been with FSEC since the summer of 1980.

Over the years, he has been responsible for photovoltaic electrical energy system testing facilities, performance monitoring and testing, including a great variety of data acquisition, instrumentation, data collection, data reduction, data storage, data transfer, data line and data system lightning protection, calibrations, training and Solar Flash Simulator support.

Mr. Maytrott was a key developer of FSEC's Power Electronics Laboratory program during it's design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
