DOE Recognizing Two Builders on Building America Day
G.W. Robinson Builders, Inc. and Tommy Williams Homes will be recognized at a public ceremony this month by Mr. Steve Chalk, Acting Program Manager for Building Technologies in the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The builders are to be recognized for their leadership and commitment to building energy-efficient homes in partnership with the FSEC-led Building America Industrialized Housing Partnership. The public ceremony will be held at the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Office on April 25, 2007 - which has been declared “Building America Day.”

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) recognizes The Grand Emerald, a residential home built by Royal Professional Builders as receiving a LEED certification under its LEED for Homes pilot program. FSEC serves as USGBC's LEED for Homes Provider in Florida during the pilot phase.
