Team Florida's FLeX House Competes in Solar Decathlon
The Solar Decathlon is an international contest where universities from around the world compete to design and build net zero energy houses. This year, UCF/FSEC participated as part of Team Florida, a four university team consisting of USF, UF, UCF, and FSU, to construct the FLeX House, a manufactured house designed to passively cool itself. FSEC’s Mike Flynn, a UCF student when the decathlon project began, helped with the data acquisition.
